Sunday 31st March and a walk to Nelson Golf Course to see the sun going down.

You can see how the pilot of the airliner realised he was heading straight for the sun and then took evasive action.

For these photos, I didn't even leave the house. Sensing a good display, I rushed upstairs and lent out of the bathroom window.

Our house faces south, so opportunities to see a decent sunset are limited to a few days of the year. In a week or so, the point at which the sun sinks beneath the horizon will be out of sight. Earlier in the year, the tree (see earlier) gets in the way. And the rest of the time, it's cloudy.
